連Lady Antebellum主唱Hillary都表示光這首的曲子
就美到讓她一聽就連續重播了十幾多遍
歌詞乍聽之下，讓人很難不聯想到愛情中的單戀
主角積極地嘗試突破愛人的心防
不斷地努力，卻也不斷地被對方拒於門外
雖然感到無奈、寂寞，但主角仍(暫時)不願放棄
愛人就像海洋，而海浪就像是一道道的阻礙
呈現出主角想游進大海，卻不斷被海浪推回岸上的無力感
不過Lady Antebellum也表示，這首歌可以詮釋的主題其實更廣
可以是愛情、親情、友情、甚至是與周圍他人的關係
